Claiming Equipment as a Business Expense

Tax relief may be claimed on business assets that are wholly and exclusively required for a contract under your Personal Limited Company.

All receipts for Business Equipment must be made out in the name of the Company.


You should have a valid explanation for the use of your equipment in your limited company


Please note a tax charge may apply on cessation of your company where a value still applies to an asset.

Equipment that is solely for personal use; Personal iPads, Personal Phones, Personal Laptops / Tablets or Personal PC’s / TV’s.


Repairs.

The equipment purchase must be for use in company so you should have valid explanations if you are purchasing several of the same asset type, e.g. 3 Mobile Phones

Laptops -Mobile Phone- PC -Servers -Office Furniture
